Healthier
Together

The Two Hills and Area Community Wellness Coalition (THCWC) is a collection of local organizations that provide services to Two Hills and Area.  It was formed in September of 2017 in response to an increase in deaths by suicide in the community and a desire to provide support to family and friends affected.  In 2020 the scope was broadened to include activities that contribute to the physical and mental wellness of the community.

We envision Two Hills and Area as a place that values and supports spiritual, physical, mental, social and emotional health.  Our Community will be free from the stigma and discrimination of mental illness.

In 2023 the Two Hills FCSS conducted a community needs assessment.  One of the items identified was Mental Wellbeing.

The Coalition would like to know more about this, so in collaboration with the Two Hills FCSS and Alberta Health Services (AHS) we are taking on the Two Hills Healthier Together Initiative. The Healthier Together Initiative is looking at ways to improve health and wellness outcomes for members of our community AND We Need your input! Healthier Together - Two Hills is a project designed to bring our community together to identify opportunities and build on strengths to improve the health and well-being of families in our community. The project priorities will be established locally. AHS is providing resources to support the project as needed. Resources include startup funding, health experience and knowledge, data collection and evaluation.
